PFIP continues to engage with the Ministries of Education and central banks in the relevant countries to support the integration of financial education (FinEd) into the core curricula, in a replication of the Fiji implementation model.
The positive momentum around FinEd continues to build in Samoa, Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea, following successful scoping missions in country.
From 2016 – 2018, PFIP tested a new model, working specifically with technical and vocational training institutions to produce labour market-ready graduates who are better equipped to deal with financial decision-making.

PFIP will continue to innovate with financial education models that are delivered in a vocational training context, and directly associated with product delivery. PFIP will also focus future efforts on adult financial literacy initiatives that are embedded in service delivery models.
