PFIP continues to engage with the Ministries of Education and central banks in the relevant countries to support the integration of financial education (FinEd) into the core curricula, in a replication of the Fiji implementation model. The positive momentum around FinEd continues to build in Samoa, Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea, following successful scoping missions in country. In particular, a pilot will be conducted in two technical colleges in the Eastern Highlands of Papua New Guinea in 2016-17.
PFIP will continue to innovate with financial education models that are delivered in a vocational training context, and directly associated with product delivery. PFIP will also focus future efforts on adult financial literacy initiatives that are embedded in service delivery models.
