Shobna joined the PFIP programme in October 2015 as its Deputy Project Manager responsible for the non-technical operations of PFIP mainly in charge of its finances and administration. She serves as the central focal point for operations liaison with UNDP/UNCDF NY, UNDP Fiji, Solomon Is, Samoa and PNG. She brings with her over 10 years of substantive work experience in financial management, experience in formulating budgets, management work planning, people management, project/multiple donor and resource management, preparing financial reports, audit planning and preparation, implementing sound internal control procedures, business process mapping, procurement planning and action, human resources planning/alignment and advice to senior management, knowledge sharing and implementing change for results.
Prior to joining PFIP Shobna worked for the International Labour Organisation as National Operations Manager she has also worked with the Joint Operations Centre for UNDP Fiji as an Acting Finance Team Leader and Finance Associate. Shobna possess a Masters in Business Administration (MBA), along with Post Graduate qualifications in Human Resources and General Management from University of the South Pacific. She also possess a Diploma in Business Studies from the Fiji National University.
