Praneel joined the Pacific Financial Inclusion Programme in January 2015 as the Financial Inclusion Specialist (Fiji). He is responsible for managing PFIP’s Fiji portfolio; including grants, activities and programme budget, and is the focal point of contact with the public sector, private sector and financial sector providers.
Previously, he has worked with the Ministry of Finance for over 5 years. His last tenure with the Ministry was as an Principal Economic Planning Officer in the Economic, Policy and Analysis Unit of the Budget Department.
He holds a Master of Commerce in Economics from the University of the South Pacific, including a Double Major Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Information Systems. He has also attended economic, fiscal policy and financial management training at the IMF Training Institute, Singapore and microfinance training at the Boulder Institute of Microfinance in Turin, Italy.
