Krishnan Narasimhan has over 20 years of insurance domain experience having worked for India’s largest insurer – Life Insurance Corporation of India (LICI). He headed the Fiji operations of LICI from 2006-2012.
It was in Fiji that Krishnan got involved in Financial Inclusion. He was a pioneering member of Fiji’s National Inclusion Task Force (NFIT), an organization led by the Reserve Bank of Fiji with the goal of bringing Fiji’s unbanked population into the financial sector. Within the NFIT, Krishnan served as Chairman of the Financial Literacy Working Group, a group which he actively guided.
He was also instrumental in the launch of new microinsurance products in Fiji, the first of its kind in the Pacific that aimed to build resilience among the vulnerable sections of society.
Krishnan holds a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of the South Pacific and a Master’s Degree in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations from the Alagappa University, India. He is also a Certified International Expert in Microfinance through the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management.
