Jagdeep Dahiya is a development professional with over 14 years of experience, including 7+ years in management consulting dedicated to international development focused on financial inclusion. He has extensive experience of working with a range of players catering to low income segments of population with focus on women and youth in numerous countries across Asia, Africa and Pacific. His recent work focused on assisting clients in capacity building through market-led inputs like institutional diagnostic, providing inputs for organisational level strategic & operational direction and developing business and financial projections, process re-engineering for enhanced efficiency and risk mitigation, delivery of training for institutions and end clients (financial education) and facilitating workshops.
He has been considerably involved in developing products to suit needs of low income clients identified through qualitative market research, pilot testing and assisting roll out using traditional and digital channels. He has also been a core member & interim Project Lead of Microfinance Expansion Project, a country level financial inclusion intervention in Papua New Guinea, co-funded by ADB, AUSAID, and Government of PNG. Before joining UNCDF Jagdeep was lastly based in Vietnam, heading the Country Development Programme for MicroSave. He has also been a successful entrepreneur cum trainer in earlier days in his career. He holds a MBA degree and also a Masters in commerce.
